Wow, none of the usual pitiful responses to getting your ass kicked? I'm impressed. He even took the "weak man's stance", being hauled out of the ring. I'm so used to the "small town genius" being so self absorbed that he chooses false power over failure. I actually enjoy being wrong this time. Lets just hope he doesn't go crazy and get super petty.
I'm also surprised that the elders didn't try to squeeze his secrets out to public. That sadly happens a lot in novels about "righteous sects".
